got love?

a comedy of manners about modern love and digital delusion.

When ChatGPT overuse triggers a citywide blackout, the guests at a lavish 30th birthday party are left to navigate the dark—without power or wifi, they're forced to drop the pretenses as New York meets Palo Alto in this sharp send-up of optimization, romance and money, both new and old.

About the Production

In true New York fashion, got love? began with a chance encounter. On a balmy Tuesday in September of '23, Joelle was walking down East 10th Street when Vlad Makarkin invited her to audition for the inaugural play of his gallery and concept store called Cozmos. At the callback, Vlad learned Joelle was also a writer and Cozmos commissioned an original show in support of the gallery’s mission: to combat loneliness, foster community, and reimagine how we connect offline.

Working with Cozmos throughout the tail end of 2023 and first half of 2024, Joëlle staged a series of performance experiments:
December '23  – Yoga with Amelie  at Cozmos
February '24 – Ask.am, a simulated self-help group at Baker Falls
March '24 – got love? with Amelie Poste, a moderated blind date between two real New Yorkers

June '24 – got love? with Amelie Poste, closing act for Comzos' Folds of Time Festival ft downtown theatre legends Edgar Oliver and Bob Holman.

The show has evolved from the interactive, one-woman performance for Cozmos into the independently produced, ensemble comedy you see today.
